St. Jerome Parish

Bible Study – Advent 2019

On Tuesday, November 26, at 7:30pm in the SJ Religious Education Center we will begin a brief, 4-week bible study focused on the Sunday Mass readings for Advent.  As Advent prepares us to celebrate the Feast of Christmas, each Tuesday evening we will study the readings the Church has selected for the next Sunday.  All sessions are on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 to 9:00pm in the St. Jerome Religious Education Center (down the stairs, left of school main bldg), beginning November 26.  Bring a friend.  All are welcome.  No experience necessary.  Cost is $15 for the Workbook, while supplies last. (No charge for t. Jerome Parish lectors.)

For more information, contact Steve Picard at sjpicard526@att.net.

Bible: New American Bible (Revised Edition)

This is just one of many good translations.  It is a Catholic translation (73 book canon w/imprimatur) and is used at Mass in all Catholic dioceses of the United States.  The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) is another excellent Catholic translation used at Mass in Canada, England, and other English-speaking countries.  See the website of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops:  usccb.org.
